So, it’s Monday morning which means I have more ambition now than I will have all week long. This morning I decided to use my ambition to actually play with my kids. Weird, I know.
We started with “bubble gum, bubble gum, in a dish” and even the twins had a great time. From there we moved onto “duck duck goose.” Smacking people on the head is everyone’s favorite game. After that we moved to “red light, green light.” That one is Kevin’s favorite. So all of this fun and frivolity lasted about ten minutes. I was exhausted and the kids were just gearing up for more running and yelling.
So now I’m in on the computer, typing up this blog and they’re parked in front of the TV, watching “The Incredibles.” I was an awesome mom for about ten minutes. Now I’m just tired, and I still have to figure out something that starts with the letter X to send with Kevin for show and tell in preschool today. Is it naptime yet?

Amen!
Isn't that what we have nannies and/or DVD/cable for?????
oh april! i so needed this post!!! you made me feel like a normal mom. lol! i played with evan today too, we were using the "force" to throw pillows at each other and running around. after what felt like an eternity of doing this, i looked at the clock to see if i could call it quits and it had only been like 15 min. hahaha! i guess that's why we set up playdates for our children, so they have someone with the same energy level to play with :)
