My little Kevey boy is 4 years old. He hasn’t really dealt well with birthday parties so we decided to forgo the traditional party and just take him to Chuck E. Cheese. He was looking forward to it all week. His Grandma and Grandpa Talbot and Aunt Jamie came with us and we all had a great time. I kept waiting for him to have some kind of meltdown but it never came. He is deathly afraid of Chuck E Cheese though. When that giant mouse came over and waved at him, Kevin hit the floor and put his hands over his head. I must admit that I can understand the terror though. They kept announcing things like, “5 minutes until Chuck E comes out kids!” and it sounded pretty ominous. They just needed some maniacal laughter and thunder and lightning to complete the mood.
Other than that though, Kevin had a great time. We had some coupons for pizza and tokens and between the three little boys, they had a great time using up the tokens.
After Chuck E Cheese, we went home, and Grandma and Grandpa Ellis came over for cake and presents. Kevin got his usual train cake, and really enjoyed opening his presents.
Even though it was rainy most of the day, he did get a little bit of sunshine to go try out his new bike. And as expected, he’s already making a list of what he wants for his next birthday.

I am glad Kevin had a great birthday, it sounded like fun! Its hard to belive that he is 4!
